Personal New Year’s resolutions can help make the environment, natural habitats and forest cover better too... Protecting public spaces, joining in on public discussions, taking part conservation initiatives and activities are all things people can do to contribute to better Ecosystems and better Counties.
Things you do to make your Counties better, also make our lives better and vice versa. It’s mutually beneficial! You don’t have to make sweeping changes either.
Put the environment first: The value of nature is immeasurable, derived not only from the resources it provides but from its inherent beauty. The preservation & conservation of the environment through Education and Public participation - Join Kikao Eco-Wild as we work to shift more hearts and minds over to this point of view.
Take a strategic approach: We must think big and act boldly, but we recognize that progress comes one step at a time. Our focus is on making a difference in public policy, in our lives and our in our environment, not just making a statement.
Build on what works: Advocate for policies that will result in more protections for open spaces, wild places and wildlife at every level. Learn to speak up for a lot of things you care about, including the environment.
Get active: Plan a nature walk, jog, or bike ride around our Public spaces, Forests, Rivers and Lake as you learn something new. Try to compile a list of the Fauna and Flora you can identify and the history. "Screens are great, but nature...?? The mental health benefits of spending near trees has been scientifically proven!"
Pledge to defend our planet: Whether you help mitigate stormwater runoff by planting a tree around your neighborhood or pledge to water young trees to help them survive during the dry season or become an affiliate Kikao Eco-Wild member to solidify your commitment to the protection & conservation of the Kajiado County Ecosystem, you can make a difference.
Let's Work Together: At Kikao Eco-Wild Conservation Initiative, we work to unite people from all across the political spectrum around protecting and preserving nature. Whether its hikers or campers who want wild places to explore - Religious leaders in our places of worship who want all of us to be good stewards of the Earth - Our advocates in the Senate - Members of Parliament - State build coalitions - Private sector - Professionals - Business owners - Educators and people from all walks of life… Our organizers and canvassers engage literally hundreds of thousands of people.
Whatever you decide to do in 2021, you can leave a lasting, positive impact in our community and environment: Kikao Eco-Wild Conservation will help you make it happen.
Together, Let's Do It...!!
